ID Badge and Access Card

ID Badge

Once your manager has provided you with your AHS employee ID number, you can apply for your ID Badge using the instructions below.

If your site has a badging office, you can apply in person.

It is required for all AHS staff to carry their AHS ID with them during work hours.

Step 1

Take a photo of yourself

Take a photo of yourself using the guideline pictures below. Your photo must meet these guidelines!

Step 2

Save your photo

Save your photo as “LastName_Firstname_Employee number.jpeg”

Step 3

Submit photo and personal information

Send an email to your appropriate zone contact:

Attach your jpeg photo to the email, and include the following information in the email:

  • Email Subject Line: Your city/town and work site (e.g. Red Deer Regional Hospital)
  • In the Email Body it is MANDATORY to provide the following information:
    • Your Full Name
    • Your Employee ID Number ( provided by your manager or sent to you via email)
    • Position Title ( e.g. Nurse, Clerk III, Porter, Manager, etc.)
    • Department and Site ( e.g. Unit 61 Foothills Hospital, OR Finance, 7th Street Plaza, etc.)
    • Manager's Name

Remember to attach your jpeg photo!!

Step 4

Pick up your badge

When your ID Badge is ready you will receive an email with instructions where to pick it up, either from your manager, or the local badging office.

Step 5

Gain access to buildings and rooms

Once you have your ID Badge, talk to your manager who will arrange access to the specific areas you need for your position.
