Non-Routine Immunization Services

Sheldon M. Chumir Immunization Clinic

The Sheldon M. Chumir Immunization Clinic offers immunizations to the following select groups only.

Individuals with Medical Conditions

Individuals with certain medical conditions require alternative immunization schedules, offered through the Sheldon M. Chumir Immunization Clinic.

Clients with the following conditions require a referral to be seen at the Sheldon M. Chumir Immunization Clinic.

  • Clients Anticipating Solid Organ Transplant
  • Stem Cell Transplant Clients
  • CAR T-Cell Transplant Clients
  • Islet Cell Transplant Clients
  • Clients with Bleeding Disorders followed by ACH Hematology or the Rare Blood and Bleeding Disorder Clinic
  • Chronic Kidney Disease Clients

The following medically at-risk populations do not need a referral and may access immunization services via Health Link 811 to be directed to the Complex Booking Line.

  • Clients Anticipating Immunosuppression
  • Clients with Asplenia (or anticipating asplenia)
  • Clients with Cochlear Implants

Individuals with Elective Non-Routine Immunization Schedules

AHS strongly recommends following the Routine Childhood Immunization Schedule, unless advised by your physician to follow an alternate schedule due to a complex medical condition.

None the less, we recognize that some individuals may consider pursuing a non-routine schedule. Non-routine schedules may be accommodated by the Sheldon M. Chumir Immunization Clinic.

Routine Adult Immunization

Starting April 1, 2024, clients requiring routine adult immunization updates can book their appointment via Health Link 811.
