Indigenous Wellness Clinic

A culturally informed and safe environment for patients and their families to receive care and work towards their best possible health within a multidisciplinary team.

The Indigenous Wellness Clinic provides a culturally informed and safe environment for patients and their families to receive care and work towards their best possible health within a multidisciplinary team. We build partnerships with agencies and communities to respond to patient's needs and advocate on their behalf when faced with barriers to health care. We offer individual and group holistic support for emotional, mental, spiritual and physical well- being.

The Indigenous Wellness Clinic provides primary care services to Indigenous patients of all ages in the Edmonton zone and surrounding areas. Services include but are not limited to family medicine for all ages; chronic disease management; women's and gender diverse reproductive health; palliative care; mental health and addictions. Family Physicians are not accepting new patients at this time.

The Diabetes Program offers a monthly four (4) day, culturally holistic diabetes education program. The wellness team provides case management, patient advocacy and discharge planning with the primary care provider. This service is for pre-existing or newly diagnosed patients and patients are encouraged to bring a support person. This program is currently on hold with COVID-19.
