Public Health Services

Provides a wide range of health services in the areas of health promotion, disease prevention, and health protection.

Services provided by Public Health Nurses may include:

  • immunizations
  • communicable disease control (including Tuberculosis)
  • prenatal / postnatal education
  • postpartum caregiver / newborn support
  • breastfeeding / infant feeding support
  • health promotion / disease and injury prevention services
  • school health services
  • referrals to other health care and community services as needed

Most program areas require appointments or pre-booking. Walk-in and telephone consultation services may also be available.


Fees

There are fees for prenatal / postnatal classes.
