How Can We Help Your Patient?

The Alberta Healthy Living Program (AHLP) can help people self-manage chronic condition(s). Depending on where they live, they may have access to any combination of the following: 

  • Group exercise classes
  • Health education classes
  • Nutrition services (including one-on-one nutrition counselling)
  • Self-management workshops (e.g., Better Choices, Better Health®)

Services are offered online, in-person, or over the phone. Many of our health education classes are available province-wide.

Services in Other Languages

Some of our health education classes and self-management workshops are available in Cantonese, Mandarin, Punjabi and/or Tagalog. Interpretation services are available in other languages for some of our services.
