End PJ Paralysis

What is PJ Paralysis?

About End PJ Paralysis

End PJ Paralysis is a global movement to help patients get up, dressed and moving. It aims to get patients out of bed, dressed in their own clothes and when possible, moving rather than lying in bed.

End PJ Paralysis:

  • Encourages patients to wear their own comfortable clothes
  • Helps reduce the health risks of not being active while in hospital
  • Increases the benefits for patients such as quicker recovery and improves overall patient experience

Alberta Health Services (AHS) believes that encouraging patients to get up, dressed and moving while in hospital will benefit patients, staff and the health care system overall.
